Kırklareli Kent Algısı Üzerine Deneysel Bir Çalışma

Abstract

Bu çalışma; Kırklareli kent algısı üzerine deneysel bir çalışma olup, çalışmanın temel amaçları; o Şehir planlama öğrencilerin mekâna ilişkin deneyimlerinin kent algıları üzerindeki etkilerini belirlemek o Bu kente öğretim süresi için gelmiş öğrencilerin kent belleği ve kent algısı ile sürekli yaşayanların kent algısı arasındaki farklılıkları ve benzerlikleri ortaya koymak o Kentin algılanabilir bir kent olup olmadığını irdelemektir. Çalışmada kent imajının öğrencileri nasıl etkilediği, öğrenci ve yaşayanların kent algılarının karşılaştırması ve kenti nasıl algıladıkları Kevin Lynch analiz teknikleri kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışma kapsamı ve sonuçları ile bir üniversite kenti olma yolundaki Kırklareli'nin yapılması düşünülen plan çalışmalarında veri olarak değerlendirilebilir niteliktedir.

This study is the experimental study on the perception of the city center of Kırklareli, Turkey. The main aim of this study is: o To figure out effects of spatial experiences on city perceptions of the city planning students o To figure out the differences and the similarities about the city-visions of both the permanent residents of Kırklareli and the university students who reside in the city for a certain time related to their educational period, o To figure out if the vision of Kırklareli town could be well perceived or not. Through the study, how the city image impresses on the students; the comparisons of the city perceptions between the students and the permanent residents and how they perceive the city were determined using Kevin Lynch analysis techniques. This study could be considered as data in the planning studies with its results and scope, during the transformation of Kırklareli becoming and developing as a "university town".
