A syncronic study on “possessive + existential” constructions in Turkish dialects of Iran
Abstract
The long and profound relationship between Turkish and Iranian languages has led to the similarity of both languages in terms of language typology over time. Because of this symbiotic relationship, copying examples are found at various levels in the categories of voice, form, sentence and vocabulary between the written Persian dialect and the oral Turkish dialects in Iran today. In this article, the syncronic comparison method was used to examine the copying examples of oral Turkish dialects which reports existential construction in the written Persian dialect. That occurred in the large time frame of the verb “d?şten”. Surveys on oral Turkish dialects have investigated the frequency with which oral Turkish dialects were used and with whom. Thus, this article is aimed to mark the spread of the copy examples in oral Turkish dialects. © 2018 Hacettepe University 1. All rights reserved.
