Determination of imazamox ((2-[4,5-dihydro-4- methyl-4-(1-methylethyl)-5-oxo-1 h-imidazol-2- yl]-5-(methoxymethyl)-3-pyridinecarboxylic acid) residue on sunflower plant components
Özet
The research was completed in 2014 and 2015 under field conditions in Kirklareli that is located in the Thrace region of Turkey. The study researched the residue levels left on different components of the sunflower plant and in sunflower oil due to the use of imazamox herbicide which is applied very commonly in the area for sunflower production. The study was randomised block trial design at two different locations. The assessment of two years together showed the sunflowers at Kavakli had imazamox residue of 239.9-7.0 µg kg-1 on leaves, 85.0-17.0 µg kg-1 on stems and 151.0-6.6 µg kg-1 on head components. At Kirklareli, there was 258.7-7.7 µg kg-1 on leaves, 71.7-1.2 µg kg-1 on stems and 169.0-2.5 µg kg-1 on head components. According to these results, the concentration of imazamox residues was identified as head > leaf ? stem. The number of herbicide residues reduced significantly from the first application time to the harvest period. Oil samples obtained from the sunflower plants comprised imazamox residues in amounts not exceeding the 0.05 mg kg-1 MRL value in the Turkish Food Codex and 0.095 mg kg-1 determined by the World Health Organisation. © 2019, Scibulcom Ltd.
