THE NECESSITY OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY EDUCATION AT VOCATION SCHOOLS

Abstract

In this study, a survey has been made to the vocation schools’ students of İnönü University who were choosen as sample and it’s results were evaluated. Vocational Schools’ students’ information about the occupational health and safety were examined. The students’ level of having information about occupational health and safety during their education at vocation schools were searched. It was concluded about the vocational motivation of occupational health and safety. The current survey examines the perspectives of students in the field of education they pursue within the framework of occupational health and safety. This study was carried out to the students of vocation school’s technical programmes. This survey consists of 20 questions. It is about the vocation schools’ students approach to occupational health and safety. The survey was fulfilled to 1000 students. This study was carried out only at İnönü University’s Vocation Schools and it consists of datas about all Vocation Schools students’ sufficiency for occupational health and safe in our country. The studies which are made in accordance with these expectations are very important in terms of educating skilled personnels

Yapılan bu çalışmada örnek seçilen İnönü Üniversitesine bağlı meslek yüksekokullarında öğrencilere anket düzenlenmiş ve bu anket sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir. Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin iş sağlığı ve güvenliği hakkında bilgileri irdelenmiştir. Öğrencilerin yüksekokul eğitimleri boyunca iş sağlığı ve güvenliği ile ilgili bilgilere ulaşma düzeyleri araştırılmıştır. İş sağlığı ve güvenliği açısından mesleki motivasyonu ile ilgili sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencinin eğitim aldığı alanda iş hayatına bakış açısı iş sağlığı ve güvenliği penceresinden bu ankette irdelenmiştir. Yapılan bu çalışma meslek yüksekokulu teknik programlar öğrencilerine uygulanmıştır. Yapılan anket 20 sorudan oluşmaktadır. Bu anket iş sağlığı ve güvenliği konusunda Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin konuya yaklaşımı üzerinedir. Anket 1000 öğrenci üzerinde yapılmıştır. Bu çalışma sadece İnönü Üniversitesine bağlı meslek yüksekokullarında yapılmış olup; ülkemizdeki bütün meslek yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin iş sağlığı ve güvenliği konusunda yeterli olabilme durumlarını gösteren veriler içermektedir. Bu beklentiler ışığında yapılacak çalışmalar ülkemize kalifiye eleman yetiştirme açısından önemlidir
