IN EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF SOCIAL SCIENCES VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS, THE PROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDIN TERMS OF APPLICATION AND SOLUTION PROPOSALS

Abstract

The most important mission of vocational high schools is to help to meet the need of specialist and intermediate staff to contribute to the economy of country. The educations providedin this meaning should be supported with the theoretical knowledge as well as the applied courses. The application education should be applied on the students with the process to be determined together with the sector, not separately from the sector. In terms of application education, the most handicapped vocational high schools are the ones providing education in the domain of social sciences. Foe the application educations provided in the domain of social sciences to be able to have the desired effect, it is necessary to provide these educations in the living organisms. In the process of 2 years of vocational high schools, the training the students undergo in the sectors in their own branches for the durations varying between 40 and 80 days remains insufficient due to the deficiency of time and not effectively running of system at the desired level. For meeting the need of intermediate staff of our country in the schools more effectively, it will be more suitable to restructure the application education provided in vocational high schools in the domains of social sciences together with the sector and in the direction of the need of sector

Meslek yüksekokullarının en önemli görevi ülke ekonomisine katkıda bulunacak uzman ve nitelikli ara eleman ihtiyacının karşılanmasına yardımcı olmaktır. Bu manada verilen eğitimler; teorik, bilimsel bilgi yanında, uygulamalı derslerle de desteklenmelidir. Uygulama eğitimi sektörden ayrı değil sektörle beraber belirlenecek bir süreçle öğrenci üzerinde tatbik edilmelidir. Uygulama eğitimi açısından en handikaplı meslek yüksekokulları, sosyal bilimler alanında eğitim veren meslek yüksekokullarıdır. Sosyal bilimler alanında verilen uygulama eğitimlerinin istenilen etkiye sahip olabilmesi için bu eğitimlerin yaşayan organizasyonlar içinde verilmesi gerekmektedir. Meslek yüksekokullarının 2 yıllık eğitim süreçleri içinde öğrencilerin kendi branşlarındaki sektörlerde 40 ila 80 gün arasında değişen sürelerde yaptıkları staj eğitimi ise sürenin yetersizliği ve sistemin istenilen seviyede etkin işleyememesinden dolayı yetersiz kalmaktadır. Ülkemizin ara eleman ihtiyacının bu okullarda daha etkin karşılanabilmesi için, sosyal bilimler alanındaki meslek yüksekokullarında verilen uygulama eğitimlerinin, sektörle beraber ve sektörün ihtiyacı doğrultusunda yeniden yapılandırılması daha uygun olacaktır
